How to make Indian style special bhindi

Bhindi can be prepared in many ways. Bhindi contains many kinds of nutrients which are beneficial for our health. Let us know how Bhindi is prepared in different ways:



Ingredients:

  • 500g okra (bhindi), washed, dried, and cut into 1-inch pieces

  • 2 tablespoons oil (vegetable or sunflower)

  • 1 large onion, finely chopped

  • 2-3 green chilies, chopped 

  • 1/2 teaspoon methi seeds

  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder

  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon garam masala

  • Salt, to taste


Method of making Bhindi sabji:

  • Wash the Bhindi, dry it well, and chop it into small pieces.

  • Heat the pan and add 1 tbsp oil to it. When the oil is hot add methi seeds to it, and let them cook.

  • Now add chopped onion and fry till it turns golden brown.

  • When the onion is cooked add bhindi and fry them for 2-3 minutes.

  • After some time add all dry spices turmeric powder, coriander powder, red chili powder, garam masala, and salt to it and mix it well.

  • Cover the lid of the pan and cook the bhindi. Keep stirring the bhindi in between so that it does not burn. You can have it with roti, paratha, or rice.

Tips:


  • Avoid stickiness: Make sure the bhindi is completely dry before cutting and do not stir it too much while cooking, so that it does not become sticky.

  • Spice level: Adjust the spice level as per your taste by modifying the amount of green chilies.
