Sprouted Moong Salad is a protein-rich healthy dish that is light, refreshing, and full of flavor. Eating sprouted moong in the morning keeps you refreshed throughout the day and also keeps your stomach full. Today we will learn how to make sprouted moong salad. We will make sprouted moong salad for 4 people.

Ingredients to make Sprouted Moong Salad:

  • 2 cups sprouted moong beans (green gram)

  • 1 medium cucumber, finely chopped

  • 1 medium tomato, finely chopped

  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped

  • 1-2 green chilies, finely chopped (adjust to taste)

  • 2 tablespoons fresh coriander leaves, chopped

  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

  • 1/2 teaspoon chaat masala (optional, for extra flavor)

  • 1/2 teaspoon roasted cumin powder

  • Salt to taste

  • Black pepper to taste


How to make Sprouted Moong Salad

Method to make Sprouted Moong Salad:

  • Soak the moong beans in water overnight. It will become soft. Wrap it in a clean, damp cloth for some 1-2 days until the moong beans sprout. Remove it from the cloth and wash it before use.

  • In a large mixing bowl, add the sprouted moong beans, chopped cucumber, tomato, onion, and green chilies.

  • Now add chopped coriander leaves, lemon juice, chaat masala, roasted cumin powder, salt, and pepper and mix it well. The salad is ready. Take it out in a bowl and serve by garnishing coriander leaves on top.

  • You can also add other vegetables like capsicum, radish, or fruits like pomegranate to enhance its taste and nutrition.
